Sore in Georgia
I am an actor. I've spent the past two weeks in rehearsals for ROMEO AND JULIET. The past two days were spent in busy 9-hour blocks of swashbuckling and swordplay as Tybalt (as I have come to find out) gets no break. He fights damn near everyone in the gd play, aside from Juliet. Sheesh. So, this afternoon I sit listening to the sounds of the washing machine cleaning my fourteen day high pile of dirty laundry, connected to this impossibly slow dial-up internet connection, watching some movies on what looks like an Edward Norton themed afternoon on USA. My back is sore, my sides are sore, my arms are sore, my legs are sore -- goodness.
MUNICH is brilliant. See it. Very compelling and intense.
Walmart had movies for $7.50 this week, so I bought THE PRODUCERS (the original one) and SILENCE OF THE LAMBS (the great one). Looking forward to watching those.
I love the weather in the south. Who wouldn't want to spend a January afternoon walking outside in the 70 degree sunshine?
I feel, perhaps because of the praise offered by Mimi, a feeling of inferiority, of lousy-ness in my writing today. I'm ashamed of this post and beg you to erase it from your memory now. Perhaps things will be better in the morning.

Yo, sword-wielding dude.
I'm jealous of anyone who sees any film that's actually playing in a theater.
Currently, I'm caressing lame hopes to see KING KONG and HOODWINKED.
But any of the Oscar bait sounds good to me, including MUNICH and BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. Of course, I'm married to the woman who talks about how much she wants to see BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN but I know that means when it's released on DVD, because seeing it now requires driving back into the city. Too much effort.
I'm not complaining. I'm planning on seeing matinees on my own after work. i just know my wife... once she's home, she doesn't feel like leaving for the night.
Cool. I'm actually whining, I think. And in public! That rocks!
This swordplay crap and rehearsing sounds like a lot of work. Good for you! Continual legbreaking I wish upon you!
SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE was on some cable channel this weekend. I still haven't seen it (I suck) but it looked pretty good. I'll have to check it out.
Oh, and if you're able to, check out my blog(s). True, I'm longwinded but I also infrequently update, so it evens out, I think...

Oh! And Musicalfare is going to be doing The Last Five Years.
Later, stud.
Ugh. You just reminded me I have to do laundry. My mother would thank you. I say, a curse on both your houses. Or, on your one house because I don't think you have more than one.
the thing is, i have so many houses i don't even know which ones aren't mine.
