Tampa's Tremendous

The Courtyard Marriott in Tampa, FL has lovely paintings in its guest rooms. None of that boring, same-old vase-with-dull-flowers poop that one sees in just about every hotel across America (I would know, ok?). Instead, guests are treated to watercolors of Tampa's waterfront, ferns and lifestyle. It was a lovely respite from the drab and seemingly endless displays of ceramic cylinders found ceaselessly throughout the US of A. Of course, I didn't photograph the event.

Also, the front desk staff was very witty, wise and wonderful. My acquaintance, I'll call him Tom for that is the name his Mother gave him, and I laughed for a good few minutes with the night Manager. Say hello to her if ever you're there. She's a hoot.

Well, you seem to be having a lot of fun on this stretch of touring. Sorry i've never checked out any of your audio blogs. Since we have dial up, and it's been slower than USUAL lately, I usually don't try anything that might take forever.
Hey, who said, "Except porn!?"
That's a lie, lately!

But, that's not why I'm commenting.
Although i hope you are doing fine, have you heard anything from Mimi?
I have no clue who she is other than she has a blog and she hasn't updated it since the end of january.
Hope she's just busy with life and nothing miserable's happening with her.
Since i don't actually know her, i didn't want to pester her. So, I'm pestering, uh, laterally....
Just wondering.
And did you hear that Laura Linney and PSH are in Buffalo RIGHT NOW? What the freak!
See Dan's blog.

It's Mimi checking in! It's so nice to be wondered about. I'm alive and well, even if my blog is near dead. I don't think it's 100% dead. For some reason I got paranoid that if I wrote about work or complained about things related to my work place I'd get in trouble or something. Does that sound like a good excuse? Because, really, I just got lazy. However, I'm hopefull it will come back someday.

I believe the original intention of my blog was to record what it was like to apply to grad school. Well, it was awful. I'm going to the school that was my first choice--University of Denver for a Masters in International Disaster Psychology--but it was still awful. I'm glad the whole applying and waiting process is over, that's for sure.

Sorry I went M.I.A. Now that I'm not busy stalking my mailman for grad school letters I have no excuse not to return to the online blog-o-sphere.

Oops, CJH, didn't mean to use your comment space to share my life update. But you're in Florida and I'm not, so I don't feel too bad.

I'm thrilled that my blogosphere has been used for people to comment and be in touch with others... and for Mimi, who perhaps has forgotten HOW to update her blog and must rely on the comment section of others to update us about her life. In any case, Mimi, speaking on terms of anonynymity (boy that's a tough one to spell), I don't know who this CJH you speak of is. My name is Beedow.

Hey, don't apologize to "Beedow," he's busy screwing up the lives of himself and seven other people!
(Although, seriously, good luck with that call on Monday).
By coincidence, me and Dr. Tarot Reader will be possibly visiting Chicago for a day or so over spring break.
Yeah, did you know she reads Tarot, now (occsaionally-- not daily, man!)? As I write, she's at her first "Holistic Show" (actually, I thought it was a psychic fair, but it's being billed as a holistic show). Even though she's new at this, she seems to have a talent for it.

But, I digress....

MIMI! This comment was supposed to be all about YOU!
Or at least, to say, good to hear you're alive and well and in the school of your first choice. Congratulations!
Until you start updating again...
